DO I NEED A DRIVER'S LICENCE TO RENT VAMOS?
You don’t need a driver's license* to drive our scooters, as they are considered electric bikes!

*However, users under 18 do need a driver's license. If you are under 18 and do not have a driver's license, you are welcome to ride as a passenger. You must show valid photo IDs with proof of age. 

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO RENT VAMOS?
Riders under 18 years old must have a driver's license to rent and operate our scooters. We require a valid photo ID at the point of rental. 

DO I NEED TO WEAR A HELMET?
Yes! Helmets are required by law. At Vamos,  we take safety seriously and emphasize a responsible riding experience. 

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL?
The scooter rental includes a helmet, a lock, a phone holder and training. 

IS THERE A DEPOSIT?
There is a 300$ preauthorization per scooter rental. A preauthorization places a temporary lockdown on those funds in your account. Once your scooter is returned undamaged, funds are released. 

DO I NEED A CREDIT CARD?
Yes. You must provide a credit card for the preauthorization. 

SHOULD I RESERVE IN ADVANCE?
Yes, we recommend booking at least a day  in advance to insure availability.

RESERVATION
Booking can be completed via our website (www.ridevamos.ca), by phone (514) 506-5300, or in person (216 Notre-Dame W, Montreal). All bookings must be prepaid in full.

MODIFICATION
All modification requests can be completed by phone (514) 506-5300, or in person (216 Note-Dame W, Montreal) 24 hours before your reservation.

CANCELLATION
We refund the full reservation amount if cancellation is made 24 hours in advance. If you cancel less than 24 hours beforehand, your payment will not be refunded. To cancel, you must contact us by phone (514) 506-5300, or in person (216 Notre-Dame W, Montreal)

NO-SHOW
Your payment will not be refunded if you are absent at the time of your rental without any prior notice.

DO YOU OFFER A SCOOTER TRAINING?
We provide instructions on how to operate the scooters safely. You must be able to control the scooter and drive it competently. We don't recommend you leave with the scooter unless/until you feel confident driving it competently.

HOW LONG DOES THE BATTERY LAST?
The battery lasts up to three hours. If your reservation is longer than 3 hours, we provide you with a battery charger. To charge your scooter's battery, plug it into any available socket.

IS ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE INCLUDED?
Yes, you can contact us at any moment during your reservation if you need help.

MAY I RETURN THE SCOOTER OUTSIDE OF THE OPENING HOURS? 
We do not currently offer pick-ups and drop-offs outside of our opening hours.

LATE RETURNS
For reservations of 4 hours and less: You will be charged an extra hour 15 minutes after your return time. For reservations of 1 day and more: You will be charged an extra day 1 hour after your return time.

HOW FAST DOES THE SCOOTER GO?
The scooter goes up to 34km/h.

WHAT IS THE WEIGHT LIMIT ON A TWO-SEATER?
The weight limit is 325 pounds.
